In the spirit of connecting with our coworkers, we’re excited to announce a weekly UCU Coffee Hour. As we begin the new semester, and the UCU Negotiations Committee continues the process of bargaining the terms of our next contract, there is no better time than the present to get to know fellow union members within and across Cooper Union’s departments.
Every Wednesday or Thursday, on a regular rotation, a few UCU board members and a different Area Rep will be sharing coffee, tea, and snacks in 41CS Room LL210. These casual get-togethers are a regular opportunity to come chat with union folks about any questions or concerns you might have about your working conditions, the contract, your benefits, or anything else. You do not need to wait for the day the representative from your specific area is scheduled: we encourage everyone to stop by any (and every!) week to chat with us, get to know your fellow members, or just to grab a quick afternoon pick-me-up.
The Coffee Hour Schedule for the next month is below. Please join us for the first one this Thursday. Hope to see you there!
